Actialuna rejoins the IDPF

Actialuna has become a contributing member of the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF).  The IDPF is an organization that supports the development of digital publishing and whose chief role is the standardization of a digital book format called the ePub. In collaboration with LIP6 (The Pierre and Marie Curie University) Actialuna's contribution is focused on the establishment of specifications for multilingual books.

Actialuna was invited to address this subject during the first conference IDPF held in France, during the Paris Book Salon of 2013.

"VOLCANO BOY" DIGITAL BOOK AWARD (LA NUIT DU LIVRE 2012)

"Volcano Boy" was rewarded with the Digital Book Award during the 10th ceremony of La Nuit Du Livre, held on the 8th March in the magnificent library of the Automobile Club of France.

La Nuit de Livre honors each year the works related to manufactures and publishers for the realization of specially beautiful pieces of work. The "beautiful digital book" award joined, for the first time, the list of prizes and it went to this animated book co-published by Flammarion & Actialuna.

"VOLCANO BOY", CO-PUBLICATION FLAMMARION / ACTIALUNA

Actialuna co-published with Flammarion a fiction e-book for adults in the form of book application, written by Mathias Malzieu, accompanied with animated and interactive illustrations of Frédéric Perrin and the original music produced by Dionysos

"Volcano Boy" is a tender and melancholy story of a young girl whose little brother falls into a volcano and dies. She is reunited with him when, one day, her brother comes back to her in the form of a fiery little ghoul.

This book, realized in partnership with Centre National du Livre, is available for iPad and iPhone (4.99 ). It can be read in French, English, Japanese and Spanish.

ACTIALUNA SUCCEEDED FUND-RAISING

Just one and a half year after its beginning, Actialuna executed its first fund-raising of 300 000 € from 2 business angels, with valuation of 2.5 million euros for the company. This fund-raising has been announced on Le Figaro Économie
